Terms of use
These terms cover our website, our demos, and our early-access service. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
What this is
KeyCountdown (“we,” “us”) provides branded progress links that help home buyers follow their purchase, sold to real estate agents and brokerages. It’s an early product, still being tested in a small number of markets. Features, pricing, and availability may change, and we’ll tell paying customers about changes that affect them.
Not professional advice
The steps, timelines, and explanations we show are general information. Real timelines vary by state, loan type, lender, and contract. Your agent, lender, title or escrow company, and attorney are your source of truth. Nothing on our site or in a buyer’s link is legal, financial, tax, mortgage, or real estate advice.
We aren’t a real estate brokerage, lender, title or escrow company, or law firm. We don’t accept payment for referring buyers to any lender, title company, or other settlement service provider.
For agents and brokerages
- You’re responsible for what you share. Keep each buyer’s progress accurate and current, and only enter information you’re allowed to share. Get the buyer’s agreement before creating their link or sharing it with family.
- Follow your rules. You’re responsible for following your brokerage’s policies, your state’s licensing rules, and laws on advertising, privacy, and messaging that apply to you.
- Your branding stays yours. You give us permission to display your logo, name, colors, and photos on your buyers’ pages and in the product, only to provide the service to you.
- Don’t put sensitive data in. No Social Security numbers, bank or card details, or passwords in notes or fields.
Pricing, billing, and the guarantee
Prices are the ones shown on our home page when you sign up. Early-access prices may change for later customers; a founding price stays locked for as long as you remain a customer, as described on the home page. The Keep-It-Current Guarantee on our home page describes when you can ask for a refund, and those terms apply to your purchase.
Using the site
Please don’t misuse it: don’t try to break or overload it, access things you aren’t meant to, scrape it, use it to send spam or misleading messages, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access if someone does.
Our stuff
The site, product, text, and design belong to us or our licensors. The photos on our home page are stock photos of models, not customers. The demos use fictional people and addresses. You may link to our site; please don’t copy it or imply we endorse you without asking.
No warranties
Because this is an early-access product, the site and service are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we don’t make promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, deals, or data. For any claim related to the service, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. Questions: use the form on our home page.
